Editorial Policy

How BHEKZIM PLUG selects, checks, attributes and maintains news, guides and community information.

Built for growth

Published 15 October 2026. These standards guide our editorial and moderation work.

01

Our purpose

BHEKZIM PLUG connects Zimbabweans with businesses, jobs, events, practical resources and community stories. Our editorial pages should help readers understand an issue or take a useful next step.

02

Sources and verification

Reporting should identify the source of material facts and link to original announcements where available. A supplied poster or business submission is identified as such; it is not proof that every claim has been independently verified. Unconfirmed dates, venues, prices and requirements must be labelled unconfirmed or to be announced.

03

Original work and attribution

We prioritise practical local explanations, interviews and original community reporting. Quotations, photographs and externally supplied material must have appropriate attribution and permission. Summaries should add useful context rather than reproduce another publisher’s article.

04

Editorial review

Drafts, including material prepared with AI assistance, require human editorial review before publication. Editors check factual support, originality, attribution, privacy and the usefulness of the information. AI-generated illustrations must not be presented as documentary photographs.

05

Dates and maintenance

Publication dates reflect publication, and update dates reflect actual changes. Expired opportunities should leave current feeds; historical coverage can remain clearly dated. Corrections should explain material changes without inventing a verification history.

06

Business and community submissions

Listings and posts supplied by users are distinguished from editorial reporting. Approval for publication is separate from identity verification or a recommendation. Readers should check current information directly with the provider.

07

Commercial independence

Sponsored placements and paid features must be clearly labelled. Payment does not replace fact-checking, and a promotional placement is not a guarantee of a provider’s service or financial safety.

08

Raise a concern

Report missing attribution, inaccurate information, outdated opportunities or undisclosed sponsorship using the corrections process. Include the page URL and the evidence that should be considered.
